Review on psychodrama with children -need for program development for children of alcoholics(COA)-
Cho Sung-Hee

Abstract
Studies are found on the effect of psychodrama upon children, whereas few studies are found on that of psychodrama upon children of alcoholic parents. Alcoholic problems have been focused by government as needed for treatment due to the severity of damage upon physical, emotional, and legal status of drinkers, and currently various kinds of therapeutic measures are provided such as community service, psycho-educational program, family counseling, and restricted therapeutic environment. However, children of alcoholic parents(COA) are not as much cared either by government or community. Many studies noted the need for treatment for COAs as well as drinking parents. This study reviewed research studies on COAs and suggested psychodrama should be considered to help COAs express their repressed anger and enmity, establish identity, and recover self esteem. Future studies should be made on the effectiveness of psychodrama utilized for COAs in Korea. This study is not an experiment but a review on psychodrama studies.
